A live B2B marketplace client
A shared catalog across suppliers who each run their own ERP, and it stays correct without anyone maintaining it.
They sold one product catalog to merchants across multiple independently run suppliers. The original plan was 60,000 products managed by hand inside the platform. That catalog is wrong within hours. Suppliers change price and stock in their own ERP all day.
I rebuilt it so the ERP is the source of truth. SAP Business One feeds the platform continuously. A second or third ERP plugs in as a driver, not a rewrite. Merchant and salesperson prices compute live instead of sitting stale in a table. Suppliers hide specific products from specific merchants with nothing leaking to the wrong account. Field reps quote offline and the quote locks at the price they gave.
What it removed:
- Nobody hand copies stock or pricing between ERP and storefront
- No rep promises stock that is already gone
- Competing suppliers and merchants share one platform and cannot see each other's catalog or pricing. Over 20 defects in that class were found and closed before launch, not after a customer found one
- Scope grew from 60,000 to over a million products mid build. The two components that would have failed at that scale were fixed before they failed
